Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among women. In 2022, an estimated 287,500 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the US.

This October, we are raising money for Living Pink. Living Pink is a nonprofit organization founded by two-time breast cancer survivor Kristie Wallace Barrow. They are dedicated to educating both men & women about breast health. Specifically. they seek to aid those in need that are in active treatment (chemotherapy & radiation) and live in Greensboro, NC and surrounding areas. They offer

• Educational Scholarships: Providing a one-time scholarship to a high school graduating senior who is/was directly affected by breast cancer.
• Utility Bill Assistance: They seek to help provide aid for those struggling to pay necessary living expenses (electric, water, phone.)
• Food and Gas Assistance
• Christmas Wishes: Providing gifts for children, during the holiday season, with parents battling breast cancer.
• Survivors Mentoring Program: Seek to mentor newly diagnosed breast cancer patients by pairing them with breast cancer survivors who can help with the transition of living pink.

How you can get involved at JADE with BCA!

• Enter our raffle to win a FREE* SERVICE with your preferred service provider! Raffle tickets are 1 for $10 or 2 for $15. On November 1st, we will be drawing 1 lucky winner from each service providers raffle basket! *Service valued up to $100. Excludes custom colors, hair extensions, microblading & lash extensions. All proceeds will be donated to Living Pink.
• FAIRY HAIR! $15 for 5-10 strands. All proceeds will be donated to Living Pink,
• Purchase an AVEDA Pink Ribbon Hand Relief. This year, it is in the Shampure aroma. They are $20 and $10 from every bottle sold will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, whos mission is to support cruelty free breast cancer research.
• Donate any dollar amount! All proceeds will be donated to Living Pink.
• Donate a gently used wig. Do you currently have a gently used wig that you no longer need? During the month of October, we will be accepting Wig Donations. On November 1st, we will take all the wigs that have been donated to A Special Place, who will then clean & prepare them to take to newly diagnosed cancer patients. 
• We will be offering Rose as a beverage option for a $3 donation.

What else will you see at JADE?

• Almost our entire team made a donation towards BCA and in return, you will see us wearing what we want on Wednesdays & weekends!
• We will be serving Pink Lemonade & Rose.
• We will have the front of the salon decorated in pink and BCA info.
